Can you provide an option for where to leave items if not in at the time of delivery? i.e. with neighbour or in shed or porch?

I cancelled an order because it was on pre-order and I was informed that because there were several items within the one package (a travel system) they would all be despatched on seperate dates which was not good for me as I work full time and couldnt take several days off for one order to be delivered!

So the option to store parts of one order until they are all available and also evening and weekend delivery or specify a date to be delivered - at the moment it feels like the delivery options are not consumer friendly for the vast majority of people who work and can't take time off at very short notice.

I like that your standard delivery is next day, and included in the price for relatively modest orders... usually I only buy big items here, so it's almost always 'free' for me.

It definitely would be good to have a 'nominated day' delivery as well, though... if I want to have something arrive on my day off next Tuesday, at the moment I have to be able to order it next Monday, which may not be possible... if I could order it today and have it sit in your warehouse for a few days before going out via the same 'next day' courrier service, that would be more convenient for me and capture more sales for you. M&S have this option, for example. Of course, I could just order now, then re-arrange when the text message arrives, or phone up when I get the missed delivery card, but this is less efficient for everyone.

Also, if you were able to offer a less premium delivery service for a small discount, I'm sure some people might go with that.

  • Hi Nolleen,

I have found your order on the system and can confirm you have not been charged postage on this.

The postage has been duducted already from the order. Total price paid is just for £35.99 which is the price of the seat ordered.

I hope this helps clear this up.

    Many Thanks

If you could confirm the time of delivery at least 1 hr before then that would be better rather than taking off and waiting for delivery.

You should allow people to order/reserve online and then be able to collect from store.

I only live 5 minutes drive away so it would be silly to order and then wait at home for a next day delivery!

I know i can go to store to make the purchase but I can't guarantee it will be in stock. Ordering online tells you if the item is in stock or not so if it could be reserved or paid for i would know it wouldn't be a wasted journey to collect it!

it would be good if you could pay for items over the internet and then come and collect them so your not waiting in all day for deliverey, you can come to store in morning and then have the rest of the day to yourself. its hard to wait in all day with a young child. also my other half is paying for the items but i need to come to store to get them as i only get a couple of days off work so i cant spend them days waiting in for parcels when i need to do food shopping and xmas shopping etc, i can not come to store and pay for the items with his card as legally im not ment to have / use his bank card. it would be good if there was a way round this like pay and collect in store rather than deliverey.

I was going to order 6 iteam of your products which adding it up almost 250 pounds. at the same time it said I'm qaulify free of delivery charged. when I checked out, you wanted me to pay 19.99 pound delivery charge is it because i live in isle of man ? which it ridiculous. I have no option at all. most of the on line i order in certain amount it would be free delivery charge. but not on your site. how i going to recommend to other mums.

      Hi Shiau,

Thank you for using our community.

Unfortunately, Free Delivery is only for Mainland UK customers however, I can hear your frustrations. We offer an insured, trackable delivery service so you know where your parcel is and, we have found, that the price we offer, is quite competitive within the market.

Come the new year, we will be reviewing all of our delivery prices to see what we can do to offer our customers the very best value for money.

Please be assured, we listen to every piece of customer feedback and will continue to look for ways to improve and provide the best service where possible.

      Many Thanks,

      Tom

    Tom

Thanks for the prompt response. Kiddicare have obviously decided that its not economically viable/worthwhile to process small orders to the Republic of Ireland and other countries outside the UK. Your contention that many Irish customers are happy with the new per product pricing is not borne out in a few of the blogs I've been on. In contrast, Amazon offer a choice of placing all products into one delivery, which takes a few days longer to arrive but which makes delivery considerably cheaper than the Kiddicare method. Amazon also offer free delivery on certain orders over 25 stg.

I'll post your response onto the Kiddicare forum and will let people form their own opinion. For what its worth, I believe that it is a complete rip off. The only other delivery option offered was picking up all the items from a warehouse in England; this cost nothing if all items were picked up within 24 hours. This obviously means that the items all leave a central location and so could be grouped together and delivered for far less than the ridiculous 11.35 Euro per parcel currently offered by Kiddicare as part of their pricing structure.

    Regards
    Jacinta

Tom, an employee of Kiddicare, replied to International Delivery, a question about Kiddicare.

    Hi Jacinta,

Thank you for using our community.

From reading through your comments, it sounds like you live in the Republic of Ireland. Earlier this year we started our International Distribution Program. This has started within the EU countries and all currencies are Euro's. With this came and International Pricing and Delivery Structure. This has had a mixed effect within the Republic of Ireland with many customers being happy with the 11.35 Euro per parcel pricing as it meant that they can place single item orders and pay less for delivery. However, the new Strategy meant that every parcel dispatched is now chargeable rather than the consignment as previously.

We take everyone's point of view seriously and, come the New Year, we will continue to review and look to improve all area's of our distribution to push our courier into giving us the very best deal possible.

I am sorry I couldn't help further at this moment in time but, please keep an eye on our community as any changes will be announced on here, as soon as we have them.

    Many Thanks,

    Tom
